Hi we have a large pine tree (lodge pole? It has needles of three) that drops a huge amount of needles. I am thinking to either burn them during burning season, or piling them around the base of that pine tree and others that we have. I have mixed things about that. That it is good because it retains moisture and serves as mulch and bad that it may acidify the soil. Do you have a recommendation? Thank you Dan Phillips
